Half Marathon Starts at 9:00AM

10K Starts at 9:00AM 


The half marathon will be capped at 250 registrants and the 10K will be capped at 160. 

Registration Fees will include entry to the race and an event themed pint glass.  You can add a Hangover shirt or KCRC Stocking Cap for an additional fee.

This event is being held in the winter and it is possible that the weather will be bad.  We will only hold the event if the conditions allow the race the be run safely.  If we need to cancel, that decision will be at the race directors sold discretion and THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS, DEFERRALS OR TRANSFERS TO OTHER EVENTS.


Drive through packet pickup will be offered on December 30, 2020 from 1-4pm at the KC Running Company store in Martin City (200 East 135th St. KCMO) and on race morning from 8:00am to 9:00am at the race site


 The course will be a combination of streets, wide sidewalks, and trails along the Indian Creek Parkway Trail, starting from a new site near 137th and Antioch.  


​We are taking a number of steps to enhance the health safety of the event for the participants, volunteers and staff, including:

We will expand pre race packet pickup to two days to reduce congestion and will make it a drive through packet pickup to minimize contact.  


We will spread the porta potties out at the start/finish area and add sanitizing stations for people to use. 


We will start participants in waves of 15 or so every 30 seconds. We will spread participants out at the start by will putting small cones in the starting chute for the participants in each wave to stand at to keep them socially distanced from one another.  We will ask people to stay away from the starting area until we call them up by bib number.  


We will set bottles of water out at the water station instead of cups of water and we will not hand them their water, having them pick up their bottle instead if they so choose. 


We will use bib chips rather than shoe chips so that we won't need volunteers to remove them after they complete the race. We won’t have any volunteers in the finish chute, but will instead provide grab and go bags for them to get their bottle of water and snack to reduce participant contact with volunteers.


We will text their times to the finishers who have signed up to receive them and will have a QR code on their bib numbers that will allow them to get their time with their smart phone. 


We will mail age group and overall awards to them after the race to reduce the need for participants to hang around after the race.
